WhatsApp Update: WhatsApp Messenger now supports Two-Step Verification

New WhatsApp update about increase security for your WhatsApp account. WhatsApp messenger lets enable to Two-Step Verification to its entire user support, the Company silently announced through an updated FAQ on its Website. The additional security of WhatsApp messenger determines allows you to protect your account with 6-digit passcode that must be entered in order to register your phone number with new WhatsApp update.

The new WhatsApp update can protect your account from unauthorized access, as it provides an additional layer of security.

How you can enable Two-step verification on for yourself:

Go to Settings >> Account >> Two-step verification >> Enable

The Company says, When you enabled, any attempt to verify your phone number on WhatsApp will require the passcode.

In optional user can also  choose to enter a recovery email address, Unfortunately, if you ever forget your passcode, a link can be emailed to this address that will allow you to turn off Two Step Verification in sequence to access your account. WhatsApp observes that the email address is not verified, so you’ll need to be careful to enter it correctly.

Though, the Company tries to make sure that users won’t forget their passcode – the app will at times ask you to re-enter your passcode from time to time, helping you keep it clean in mind. There’s no option to turn off these prompts either, if you have two-step enabled.

As well the Company observes, WhatsApp to protect your account has taken the extra step, it says. When you have Two-Step Verification is enabled, your number will not be allowed to reverify on WhatsApp within 7 days of last using WhatsApp without your passcode.

After the 7 days have gone, your number will be allowed to reverify on WhatsApp without your passcode, except you will lose all pending messages ahead reverifying- they will be deleted.

For now, If your number is reverified on WhatsApp after 30 days of last using WhatsApp, and without your passcode, your account will be deleted and a new one will be created upon successfully reverifying.

This November, the new WhatsApp update was available for WhatsApp beta testers. But is now releasing to all 1.2 billion users.
