Samsung Gear S3 Frontier gets an update: Add ‘Jansky Wearable’ Feature

The Samsung Gear s3, the third generation Samsung smartwatch today gets an new update. Samsung regularly releases new updates for its Tizen OS smartwatch and this is the part of it. Samsung suite its smart watches with in-house Tizen OS, instead of relying on Android Wear. The Gear S3 Frontier’s Tizen OS got the R765TUVU2AQA6 version with stability enhancements, bug fixes and ‘further improvements.’ Tizen Os 4.0 is currently under development with the first beta for the new software scheduled for june.

The latest and mightiest of all wearable by the Korean company is the Gear s3 Frontier, and as the leading device, it is also the pioneer when we’re talking about firmware updates. The SM-R765 model got another upgrade today. It is mostly Bug fixes but also includes an unknown new feature called ‘Jansky Wearable’.

This appears to be something that there is little to no writing currently available on. While there is plenty of speculation that is little to no literature currently available on.

While there is plenty of speculation that it may simply be a new watch face or some other minor UI element change, nobody really seems to know for sure.

The fact that is only applicable to the LTE – enabled version of the device could also point to changes in how the smartwatch handles LTE connections.

It seems as though it may take some time for the obscurity around exactly what the ‘Jansky Wearable’ portion of the update is, to be cleared away.

In the meantime though, there’s usually nothing wrong with grabbing an update just for its security updates and bug fixes.

The update has been rolling out as of march 7 and if you have not seen it appear as of yet, you likely will in the coming days, if not hours.
