Solution 1: Supply Power to USB Ports
After enabling Supply Power to USB Ports setting in ps4 , After PS4 can charge your controller even in rest mode.
For enable Supply Power to USB Ports follow the below step
Step 1: Go to your PS4 settings.
Step 2: Navigate to Settings -> Devices -> Power Saving Settings
Step 3: Power Saving Settings -> Set Functions Available In Rest Mode
Step 4: Enable “Supply power to USB ports”.
Solution 2: Reset PS4 controller
For reset your PS4 controller. There is very small button given at back side of the ps4 controller. Which is very next to the right screw. Please see the screenshot for “reset your PS4 controller”.
Follow Below step to “reset your PS4 controller”
Step 1: Reach at Reset button on ps4 like above mention screenshot
Step 2. Take a toothpick stick and press down reset button for a few seconds/
Step 3: Now connect charger with your ps4.
The rest button will override all the settings on the device and set it to factory defaults.
Solution 3: Charging port gets damaged
There is a chance that the charging port is faulty if it is not charging when connected to the gaming system. Sometimes the charging port gets damaged because of constantly plugging the charger in and out because of stresses.
Solution 4: Change charging cable
After the daily use of the charging cable, it must have wasted over the years. It means, your PS4 Controller mustn’t be at damaged here but the charging cable. The best way to check this is to try charging another PS4 controller with the same cable. If it charges, then your PS4 controller is at oversight but if it doesn’t then you can try another charging cable. You can use it from another PS4 user friend.
