Home button on Apple’s waterproof ‘iPhone 7’ won’t click, will use haptic Feedback

The iPhone 7 is said to be pretty modest when it comes to changes compared to the iPhone 6s, but one new rumors suggests the Home button could be getting a big shift.

According to two separate reports, the first published by Storm.mg, and subsequently corroborated by Macotakara, the physical Home button on the iPhone 7 won’t depress or click, but will instead use haptic feedback to register use. The idea isn’t completely unheard of, of course, with Apple already using similar technology in its Force Touch Trackpads, available in the MacBook Pro and 12-inch MacBook lineups.
