Recently Blackberry announces a new Android smartphone DTEK60. This time, the unit comes manufactured by TLC with the security features of Blackberry and arrives notable specs, new features and a clean design.
A few weeks ago Blackberry announced that they would step away from the hardware side of the tech industry and will focus on software security development. So whereas the DTEK60 is coming as a big of a surprise, the company is keeping its promise in fact. The new smartphone of Blackberry is technically manufactured by TLC, Blackberry installing its own software same like Google and its previous Nexus devices.

- 5” scratch resistant Quad HD AMOLED Display,
- 21MP auto-focus rear camera and 8MP front camera with flash, 4K HD video recording at 30 fps,

- 4 GB RAM and 32 GB flash with hot swappable microSD memory card (Up to 2TB).
The Blackberry DTEK software has been designed with an easy to use interface to give more control and visibility of your privacy. The different meters on the app go from red to green to indicate the strength of your security setup with a number of different settings.
Whenever you are at risk the app automatically monitors your operating system and to warn you. It will includes sending a notification by tracking if someone send a text message, takes a picture or video, turns your microphone on or accesses your contacts location without permission.
According to TechCrunch report, the design is not as curved as the Samsung Edge devices, but it does have a minor curve at the edges. BlackBerry has also replaced its normal rubber texture for a cleaner glass casing.
The Blackberry DTEK60 is currently available in the UK, the US, France, Canada, Italy, Germany and Spain. Currently, the phone comes with price at US $499.
