Randeep Hooda is well known for taking up innovative characters. After playing a Pakistani prisoner in Sarabjit, he is ready to play another strong character from the history called Havildar Ishar Singh. The actor will study Sikh history, learn sword-fighting and shooting with vintage rifles in the next month-and-a-half to prepare for his role in the Rajkumar Satoshi film.
Randeep Hooda plays the role of Havildar Ishar Singh, a military commander of the 36th Sikhs which is today known as the 4th battalion of the Sikh regiment.
As per sources, the ‘Highway’ star will undergo proper training and will be studying Sikh history for his role. The movie will be shot in locations like Chandigarh, Punjab, Northern India as well as some international locations.
The main plot of the movie revolves around the Battle of Saragarhi that took place in 1897 between the then British Indian Army and Afghan Orakzai tribesmen in the North-West Frontier Province.
