2016 Rio Olympics India Schedule Day 6, 11th August: Indian athletes in action, fixtures & timetable in IST

The biggest name to watch out for on Day 6 has to be country’s star shuttler Saina Nehwal.

After a medal-less run till the time, a big day awaits India as they enter Day 6 of Rio Olympics 2016 . So far, big names like Abhinav Bindra, Leander Paes have failed to get medals in their respective events, which resulted in zero medals even after 5 days into the mega event and India will be hoping high on Day 6 contestants looking at their experience.
The biggest name to watch out for on Day 6 has to be country’s star shuttler Saina Nehwal as India start their journey in badminton this edition. Along with Nehwal, their will be PV Sindhu in the singles section aiming at her own medal. In the men’s section, it will be Srikanth Kidambi who will be carrying India’s chances to win one of the top three spots.

Golf has been re-included to the Olympics and the recent performance of Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri is sure to make him one of the favourites of the day. Here is the full list of Indian contestants participating on Day 6 with time in IST—

Big day for Indian archers Bombayla Devi and Deepika Kumari as they will be featuring in the Round of 16, hoping to qualify for the quarter-finals and then finals for their shot at the medals. Apart from them, it is the tennis mixed-doubles pair of Sania Mirza-Rohan Bopanna who will be competing on Thursday as their game got postponed.
